Santa Teresita Catholic Church is a Christian community that lives and proclaims the Good News of Jesus, especially through celebration. The parish seeks the faith growth of its members, serves immigrants and the less fortunate, and gives special attention to the Christina education of children and youth.
I want to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to God and to all our friends who make it possible for Santa Teresita School to continue educating children who are the future of our Church and our society.
Not long ago, someone asked me what our school meant to me and how important is it to our parish. I responded that our school is an important part of my vocation, as a Piarist Father (religious, educator and priest), which would not be fulfilled without this important educational aspect. Furthermore, our parish would not be complete without our school since many of our students and their families’ belong to the parish. No doubt, Santa Teresita School is a great blessing to our community. The children are definitely our joy.
When I am in the school visiting classes and watching the children play, and when I preside over Mass for our school, I see how fortunate our students are to attend a Catholic school. I wish I had such a valuable opportunity to receive a Catholic education. For this reason, every time I see families with children at church, I immediately asked them why their children are not studying at Santa Teresita School.
I feel so blessed and happy to be a part of such a great faculty and to be able to work with our dear Dominican Sisters of Mission San Jose, especially our principal, Sister Mary Catherine.
My invitation for all is to come and see the wonderful environment and the good work carried out both at our parish and school. Come and may your children become a greater blessing for our school and in the future for the Church and society.
I look forward to seeing you soon.
Sincerely in Christ,
Fr. Miguel Mascorro
